Muzafar Ali is a former refugee from Afghanistan. He is residing in Adelaide, Australia where he is a student at the University of South Australia. He is also Project Director at Cisarua Learning. 

Muzafar worked for the United Nations in Afghanistan. His spanned around disbandment of illegal armed groups and promoting human rights. It was the nature of his work that took him to remote and unseen areas of Afghanistan, where he was saw the raw beauty and met real Afghans. He became one of first generation of young Afghan photographers, post 9/11 to share photos of unseen Afghanistan. His photos show vibrance of Afghan people and their land. His photo exhibitions have been organised in Afghanistan, Australia, South Korea, USA, Canada and Holland.

As a refugee, Muzafar co-founded the first refugee-managed school (Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre) in West Java, Indonesia.

Muzafar is a passionate refugee advocate. He regularly speaks to Australian communities and institutions about refugees and refugee rights.
